From January 2011 to December 2011 I was junior researcher at Escola Universitària Politècnica de Mataró (EUPMt) working on the evaluation of powerline communications systems under the supervision of Dr. Léonard Janer. From January 2012 to April 2015 I was researcher at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) working under the supervision of Dr. Xavier Vilajosana-Guillén on my PhD thesis, which is related to MAC protocols for active RFID systems. From February 2013 to May 2013 I was visiting researcher at Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) under the supervision of Dr. Jesús Alonso-Zárate, and from July 2013 to October 2013 I was visiting researcher at the University of California Berkeley (UCB) under the supervision of Prof. Kris Pister and Dr. Thomas Watteyne. From March 2014 to February 2016 I was R&D engineer at Hewlett & Packard in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Spain, working on large format printers. Finally, from January 2014 to December 2019 I was the co-founder of OpenMote Technologies, a start-up company devoted to developing open hardware, firmware and software for the (Industrial) Internet of Things. From January 2011 to December 2011 I was junior researcher at Escola Universitària Politècnica de Mataró (EUPMt) working on the evaluation of powerline communications systems under the supervision of Dr. Léonard Janer.  Regarding research, so far I have published more than 30 papers in high impact journals and conferences and I have co-authored 7 international patents related to embedded systems, wireless communications and digital signal processing. In 2014 I received the 2nd Best Demo Award at IEEE INFOCOM conference for the work “Demonstrating Low-Power Distributed Queuing for Active RFID Communications At 433 MHz”. In 2017 I also received the 2nd Best Demo Award at IEEE SENSORS conference for the work “Wireless PID Control of a Thermal Process using an Ultra-Low Cost LWIR camera”. Regarding research, so far I have published more than 30 papers in high impact journals and conferences and I have co-authored 7 international patents related to embedded systems, wireless communications and digital signal processing.
